PART FOUR
My Russian source for wristwatches has dried up. However I still can get some pocket watches.
I usually have only one or two of these various pocket watches, although turnover is pretty brisk.
Background info: These watches are made by the Molnija Watch Factory that makes the modern ships clocks that go in the Typhoon subs, some MIG aircraft, and even in the Soyuz space station. These pocket watches have a 12 jewel mechanical movement in a chrome-steel case and are famous throughout Russia for being rugged and well made - sort of the Timex of Russia. I dropped one onto the concrete floor in the Kings Bay Submarine Base Navy Exchange and guess what....it broke. Well, rugged doesn't mean bulletproof!
All Pocket Watches: $44.95

The medals on the cases are nicely enameled reproductions of the actual medals they represent. Of course the Medal of Victory doesn't have all those real diamonds, but what the heck do you expect at this price?

Many, but not all of these watches have an old fashioned face and a small second hand, and come with a watch chain as well. I can't control which faces I get and never know which way they will come...Sometimes they have "regular" numbers on them.

PW-15: Russian Submarine. These come in bright and gun metal finish as shown. Backs are slightly different as you can see. K.C.Phi means "north fleet"

ORDER OF THE RED BANNER. One of the highest military orders of the USSR. The Navy's North Fleet is called, "The Red Banner Fleet". WWII Commemorative on back.

MVD: I'm told it's sort of like our FBI (?)

THE ROMANOFFS. This watch has a clear face and doesn't open.
