Boris' Military Hats Collection
Doris says:
"I don't know if I told you, but my Boris is a NAVY man! He says he really loves it because he and his shipmates sometimes go to foreign ports and that gives him the opportunity to visit the historical churches and museums there. It also gives him the opportunity to trade hats with people he meets and he has quite a few different ones.
Here's my sailorman wearing some of the hats in his collection. I think he's soooo handsome in everything he wears, I can hardly bear it (tee hee)!"

"Boris says he got this from an American sailor he met in a church in Naples, Italy. The U.S. Navy stopped issuing these in 1963...but this one was made in 1962!"

The person from whom Crazy Ivan buys these hats recently donated 5 hats to the new ship, USS The Sullivans for a display commemorating the 5 brothers for whom the ship is named. Click the pic for a full-size version.
"My darling Boris is such a good sport! Even though he assures me he doesn't drink, he posed this picture to humor his friends one night in a Barcelona bar just off the Ramblas! I know my Boris must be a teetotler...the only times I have ever seen him with a vodka bottle it has always been empty! OH, almost forgot....this "donald duck" hat Boris is wearing, says "Naval Academy", but he has so many different ones there is no telling what unit yours will be from.
