SAUDI ARABIA

FULL:$35.00 MESSDRESS:$17.00 BOTH:$50.00
Chicken or the egg question: This badge is also worn by Saudi special forces who operate their mini subs,
so is it a sub badge adopted by special forces or a special forces badge adopted by subs?
You decide. Either way, one of the most elaborate sub insignias.
SINGAPORE
AN ICBM EXCLUSIVE

PRICES REDUCED
Singapore: Bright or Antique Matte Finish: $35.00
SET OF BOTH: $70.00 $60.00 !!!
Finally!!!! Here are the brand new Singapore Dolphins and don't they look great?
Not easy to see in the picture, but the two dolphins are jumping out of waves on both sides. In the middle is an anchor surrounded by garlands. On the middle of the anchor are a rampant lion on the left and a tiger on the right, holding up the state shield of Singapore of 5 stars and a crescent moon, the latter symbolizing a young nation.
The BRIGHT FINISH ones are the current Singapore dolphins. The ANTIQUE MATTE FINISH ones were part of a limited pre-production, perhaps as a prototype/variant which was not adopted. As such, they will obviously not be manufactured in the future, so this is an opportunity to get something that will soon disappear from the scene.

BOTH are hollow back, die stamped, clutch fastened.
SOUTH AFRICA

Old or New Style: $24.00 ea.
BOTH $43.00
The old style wreath is hollow-back, the new style has solid wreath as shown on right.
From the front they both look the same.
SOUTH KOREA

I honestly do not know how much longer I will be able to get the old style ones as
my Korean Officer submariner friend says they are getting scarce.
Moral: in the words of Janis Joplin, "get it while you can".
Old Style (pre-1996) Officer and Enlisted: Each $30.00 BOTH $55.00

These are the new dolphins re-designed in 1996 to symbolize open ocean (vice coastal)
patroling (dolphins now facing outward) and new subs (German 208's)
New Style: ONE Enlisted: $22.00

SWEDEN

EITHER: $50.00 - BOTH: $90.00
These are the new (1999) Swedish dolphins.
On Left: the regular qualification pin
On Right: Conscript (trainee)
The Sweden dolphins have always been a no-no to offer for sale, by direction of the head of their submarine service. Now my secret source says that policy is being reinforced in spades and even he is having a tough time getting them. As a consequence he (and I) have had to raise the prices on the limited supply he sent me. Who knows if/when I'll be able to get more in the future?

Repro of 1940 metal sew-on badge: $50 - I have ONE.

Sweden Submarine Vets Association: $50
- I only have TWO...so if you want one GET IT NOW.
Now made for the Sweden Submarine Veterans Association, this is a reproduction of the original early 50's
Swedish submarine badge. The anchor and the bottoms of the waves are shiny - it's my picture that is bad.

A NOTE FROM CRAZY IVAN...IT'S NOT JUST HYPE:
Occasionally you will see where I say, "get it now" or "don't wait" for a particlar pin and you think, "oh sure, good old Don is just trying to act like some super salesman." Well it just ain't so - when I tell you I think the supply of a pin is going to dry up I believe it and am just trying to give you a "heads up". Remember the Nigeria pin? Old style Peru? Old Columbia? '70's France Basic Greece Submarine Seaman? Israel 60's regular and senior? Japan "stretch"? Norway unauthorized? Portugal 20's repro? Romania '36 restrike? Siam? Sweden old style? UK A class? Dennison sterling? EB presentation pin? S-boat recognition pin? Yugoslavia '57, etc. etc. etc. These are all pins I once had and are now gone for good or you have to pay an arm and a leg to get one. Look, icbm.com barely turns a profit each year, so this is not about me trying to get rich quick and move to my own private Caribbean island, I'm simply giving you my humble opinion on the future availability of a pin...so believe me or don't! 'Nuff said.

I was originally told by my Russian supplier (who sometimes makes it up as he goes), then I told you, that these were repros of the old Imperial Russian submarine badge, which they do somewhat resemble. THAT IS WRONG. Here's the straight info from A. A. Dimitriev, the knowledgeable author of the book (that I also have for sale), BADGES AND MEDALS OF RUSSIAN SUBMARINES. In fact here is a quote from his book: "...beginning in 1994 attempts to introduce an official sign for Submarine Officers, preserving the form and symbolism of the model 1909 badge was initiated. In spite of the fact that it has not been authorised, many submariners bear it on their uniforms."
Previously, there were only badges for the CO, now apparently many submarine officers are wearing this badge, signifying their qualification in submarines. Whew....glad I finally got it straight!
Yikes!!! After a YEAR of nagging my Russian supplier, he finally came up with the new Russian Captain and Admiral Dolphins!!! Unless you run into him at a gunshow somewhere, you won't find these ANYWHERE else.

Russia Capt of Sub (silver):$22.00
Russia Adm. of Sub (gold): $22.00

USSR SUB FLASK: $22.95
It was only a matter of time...
until the flask makers realized how much submariners loved to collect stuff. Once they did, of course they came up with a SUB FLASK ! These are heavy, extremely high quality flasks (food grade) and will hold 8 ounces of your favorite beverage. Details of Lenin picture on cap shown as is WWII commemorative emblem on front. Wonder how many of these will show up at the next Submariner's Ball?

These are nice copies of two of the 23 USSR "Excellence" special awards given during WWII.
NOTE: If you would like genuines of these medals, let me know and I will try to find for you.
